Brighten the holidays for a local family in need
Welcome to the 3rd Annual Wishing Tree,
a partnership between the Rotary Club of Folsom and the Folsom Cordova Unified School District.
The district's Families in Transition team works closely with families throughout the year and selects 60 who would benefit most from extra support. After reaching out to these families, they share their personalized wish lists with us.
Together, we can brighten their holiday season and help lighten the load they carry all year long.

Grocery Gift Cards
Want to give what matters most? Our families have shared that $50 grocery gift cards would make the biggest impact on their daily lives. Contribute through the Rotary Foundation and receive a tax deduction while knowing every penny supports the families directly.
Our Why
Financial hardship doesn't always look the way we expect. The families struggling most in our community often go unnoticed—working multiple jobs, sacrificing quietly, and doing everything possible to keep their children fed, housed, and in school.
The reality is sobering: as of October 31st, 2024, 729 children within the Folsom Cordova Unified School District are experiencing homelessness or living below poverty levels. These are our community's children, attending our schools, facing challenges most of us can't imagine.
We partner with the FCUSD Families in Transition Department to reach 60 families who need help most. Each act of kindness reminds struggling families that they matter and that their community cares.
It's about awareness, compassion, and recognizing that we all have the power to help neighbors in need.
Looking ahead
The spirit of giving doesn't end with the holidays! Join us again during July and August for our Back to School Supply Drive. Together, we can ensure that students start the school year equipped with the tools they need to succeed.
